Africa Oil Week set to host first-ever in-person event in Dubai

African Oil Week (AOW) (www.Africa-OilWeek.com), the leading oil and gas trade fair in Africa will host its 27e edition in Dubai. The event will be held from November 8-11, 2021 in Madinat Jumeirah. Due to the focus of the organizers on the safety and well-being of the participants, the event will be held for the first and only time in the Emirate.

Despite the temporary change of location from Cape Town to Dubai, Africa Oil Week will continue to stimulate upstream transactions and transactions, stimulate investment in African projects and facilitate new partnerships and networking opportunities upstream. One of the highlights of the event is its remarkable roster of ministers and heads of government, with 66% of African governments including ministers from Ghana, Uganda, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire , Kenya and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to be represented. Over the past 27 years, AOW has established itself as the premier platform for upstream African thought leadership. Agenda 2021 will highlight pressing industry concerns regarding the future of exploration and production for Africa, with CPD-accredited strategic sessions throughout the week, including:

  • A high-level ministerial round table on the impact of energy transition policies on hydrocarbon producers
  • A debate from leading operators, including TotalEnergies, Equinor and Tullow Oil on the main operational trends and an overview of the maximum valuation of assets and portfolios
